Project Description


Invitation to Bid: Maintenance and Painting Services for Metro Nashville Public Schools


Project Overview: Harvest River Partners invites qualified subcontractors to bid on a series of painting and maintenance projects within the Metro Nashville Public School district. The scope and size of the schools will vary significantly, and the work will encompass a range of services detailed below. Subcontractors are encouraged to consider the large volume and scale of these projects when submitting their bids.


Scope of Work:


Building Sizes Range from 30,000 - 50,000 SqFt.

Number of Buildings to Paint: 10-20

Paint & Materials Provided

Subcontractors only provide Labor & Tools


Interior Painting (Paid per square foot): $0.80

  • Sand down areas as needed.

  • Tape off light fixtures, door jams, hardware, etc.

  • Apply new paint.

  • Note: This proposal includes labor and equipment for areas reachable by ladder.


Exterior Painting (Paid per square foot): $1.05

  • Similar preparation and application processes as interior painting.

  • Note: This proposal includes labor and equipment for areas reachable by ladder.


Pressure Washing (Paid per square foot): $0.16

  • Apply chemical treatment.

  • Soft scrub and rinse off chemical wash.

  • Pressure wash the area.

  • Note: This proposal includes labor and equipment for areas reachable by ladder.


Caulking (Paid per hour): $31.20

  • Remove old caulking if necessary.

  • Clean surfaces of dirt and debris.

  • Tape surrounding areas.

  • Apply new caulk.


Staining Woodwork (Paid per square foot): $2.60

  • Repair wood using wood putty as needed.

  • Sand surface, wet wood, and apply conditioner.

  • Apply stain and sealant to wood surfaces.


Concrete Stain & Seal (Paid per square foot): $3.12

  • Stain concrete, including necessary preparation and multiple coats.

  • Seal concrete, including stripping any existing sealer, opening up the concrete surface, and applying coats of sealant in alternating directions.


Sandblasting and Surface Prep (Paid per square foot): $2.08

  • Clean surfaces of dirt and debris.

  • Sandblast area.

  • Apply sealant.


Proposal Details:

  • Labor & Equipment: Included in the proposal for interior painting, exterior painting, and pressure washing for areas reachable by ladder.

  • Scissor Lift Costs: Not included in the proposal. If a scissor lift is required, it will be at an additional cost.

  • Materials: Paint and other materials will be purchased by the client.


Submission Guidelines: Interested subcontractors are invited to submit their bids by ASAP. Bids must comprehensively address the scope of services required for one or multiple schools. Additional Information: Given the scale and repetitive nature of these projects, pricing should be competitive and reflect the efficiencies of volume work. Please ensure all proposals are submitted on time and include all requested information.
